Orbit is a playback and quality control tool, not a mastering suite. It's designed for verifying, monitoring, and sharing ADM mixes—not creating them. Use your preferred DAW with the Dolby Atmos Renderer for production, then use Orbit for QC and client playback.

Yes! Orbit works with any standards-compliant ADM BWF file, regardless of which DAW or renderer created it. If it follows the ITU-R BS.2076 ADM specification, Orbit can play it.

Orbit is a native macOS application built from the ground up for Apple Silicon. This focused approach allows us to deliver real-time 7.1.4 rendering, 3D visualization, and comprehensive metering—all without compromising on quality.

We have no plans to release an Intel version. Apple has ended new Intel Mac hardware and is winding down macOS support for Intel machines, so we're investing exclusively in Apple Silicon going forward.

Coming later: A binaural-only web version for client playback is in development, making it accessible on any device with a browser. We don't have a firm release date yet, but expect it sometime around mid-2026.

Absolutely—this is one of Orbit's primary use cases. Clients can listen in binaural on any headphones and see the 3D visualization of object positioning. No more exporting to MP4, complex renderer setups, or trying to explain spatial audio over email.

Clients would need to purchase their own copy of Orbit (with educational pricing available for qualifying clients). We provide comprehensive documentation to help clients of all technical abilities load and listen to your ADM masters—making professional playback accessible to everyone.

Every Orbit licence includes 2 activations, so you can use it on two machines simultaneously—for example, a studio workstation and a laptop for remote work.

Activations can be deactivated at any time through the app, allowing you to move Orbit to new machines whenever you need. No waiting for support or complicated transfer processes.

Volume licences can include additional activations on a single licence code, tailored to your organisation's requirements.
